Huawei P30 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max which one is the king?

Apple has announced its best iPhone 11 Pro Max. This iPhone is the best iPhone among all of the iPhone 11 family. This phone supports new different technologies making this iPhone a class of its own such as the new XDR and Dolby Vision which have never been used on the iPhone before.

0n the other hand, When we look at the flagship phones released by Huawei during the year, we see that the first half of the year is reserved for the P series and the second half for the Mate series. Huawei also shares new technologies and features in these series. When we look at last year's Mate 20 Pro model, we see that the Kirin 980 processor, wireless reverse charging feature and other such performance and productivity-oriented innovations are presented for the first time with the Mate series. When we go back six months from this phone, we see that the three rear cameras came with the P20 Pro for the first time. When we come to today, we see that the latest members of the P series, which takes its name from the word "photography", are introduced with interesting innovations on the camera side. Probably these camera features and technologies we expect in the fall. We will also see it in the Mate 30 series.

After making such an introduction, let's come to the subject of our article Huawei P30 Pro. Introduced in Paris at the end of March and familiar to us on the spot, the top member of this P30 series comes with mind-blowing camera capabilities. This Android phone, which is offered with features such as four rear cameras, high-resolution selfie cameras, an OLED screen, Kirin 980 processor, high-capacity battery, meets the needs. in this article, we will make a compression between Huawei P30 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max to see which one the king is.

Design & Display.

Both iPhone 11 Pro Max and Huawei P30 Pro are amazing. If you look from the front, it will be difficult to distinguish the iPhone 11 Pro Max from last year's iPhone XS Max in the first place. The notched screen that we met with the iPhone X for the first time and the design created accordingly are also preserved in the iPhone 11 Pro Max. Rounded corners designed to match the screen, glass layers covering the front and back completely, and a stainless steel frame surrounding the edges are among the primary design elements of the iPhone 11 Pro Max.

Apple underlines that the glass used on both the front and back of the iPhone 11 Pro Max was specially developed by Corning and is more robust. It should be noted that we did not see any noticeable scratches on the windshield while using the phone. However, we don't have enough data to make a comment about the back, because right out of the box, we used the iPhone 11 Pro Max with the transparent case specially released by Apple for this phone. For this reason, the rear glass surface did not interact much with the external environment during our use.

However, we can say a few words about the transparent case at this point. The transparent case, using the same material as the transparent case released for the iPhone XR for the first time last year, is made of hard plastic. It fits well on the phone, but we feel occasional slight twists. While it makes the iPhone 11 Pro Max a little thicker and heavier, it provides a better grip and helps a little more in preventing the phone from slipping in one hand. It also prevents the rear camera module from protruding, preventing that area from touching the surface when the phone is placed on a table or similar.

Going back to the smartphone, the most important details that will distinguish an iPhone 11 Pro Max from its predecessor are hidden behind. We see that Apple is using both a different camera array and a different type of material on the back. There are three cameras on the back and these are placed in a square-shaped module in the upper left corner. Besides the cameras, there are also flash and microphone. This section is designed from shiny glass. The remaining glass surface has a matte texture. This frosted glass-like glass surface was created by Apple with a special technique. It has more friction against the glossy glass surface, which will contribute to comfortably controlling the phone in case-free use.

The iPhone 11 Pro Max has a slightly larger surface area and thickness than last year's XS Max model. At the same time 226 gr. slightly heavier than its predecessor. When we hold each phone in both hands, we can feel the difference in weight. However, we have to say that it does not create a feeling of fatigue when holding the phone for a long time. Despite its stylish appearance, the iPhone 11 Pro Max, which is a very robust phone, also makes progress in water and dust resistance. This year's phone is also IP68 resistance, but unlike the XS Max, it can stay in water at a depth of 4 meters for half an hour.

When we look at the edges, we do not see any difference compared to last year's models. On the lower edge, there is a Lightning port, speaker, microphone. On the left edge are the mute button, the volume keys. On the right edge is the side button and a nanoSIM card tray. We also see that the edges are cut by antenna lines at various points.

Contrastingly, When we first encountered the Huawei P20 Pro last year, we were impressed by the design of that phone. Indeed, as we mentioned in the Huawei P20 Pro review, this was one of the most impressive Android phones we've experienced so far. The Mate 20 Pro, which we met six months after the Huawei P20 Pro had a design that could be considered as a first for Huawei. It was a first for Huawei with a curved screen, front and back symmetrical body, but it was possible to find other phones on the market that speak this language. Still, the Huawei Mate 20 Pro was a stylish device and was pretty practical to use.

Huawei is also applying the Mate 20 Pro's holding design to the P30 Pro without applying much changes. The curved screen, the front and back covered with glass and the body surrounded by metal are also carried to Huawei's first 2019 model flagship phone. If you placed both phones side by side with the screen turned off and looked from the front, it would be quite difficult to distinguish. The bottom and top edges of the phone are straight, not curved. On the other hand, when you turn on the screen, you will see that the P30 Pro has a drop notch on the screen, unlike the Mate 20 Pro.

Huawei continues to maintain a camera look on the back, an icon of the P series. As a matter of fact, photos are taken more upright with smartphones nowadays. Even the videos are mostly shot with the phones held upright, although we don't like it at all. In this case, it is debatable how correct Huawei is to position Leica and its own brand horizontally behind the P30 Pro. Still, if you ask us, we can say that we welcome Huawei not breaking this line in order to preserve the spirit of the camera and remind that the best photos are taken horizontally. On the back, three cameras are lined up in a group, slightly protruding outward. Just below this group is the flash, laser autofocus system, and ToF (time of flight) camera.

When we look at the lower edge of the Huawei P30 Pro, we see the USB-C port, microphone, speaker, and nano-SIM snow tray. The phone has dual line support. At the same time, Huawei's own standard NM memory card is also supported. By sacrificing the second line, you can increase your storage space by purchasing these cards.

Huawei also adds a silicon case to the phone's box. Thanks to this transparent case, it is possible to protect the phone without compromising its elegance and without covering the color. The silicone case fits the phone perfectly. On the other hand, it contributes to the more comfortable use of the phone. Thanks to its slim profile and its structure that curves towards the edges, keeping and using the P30 Pro without a case is not a big problem. However, the cover adds a little more friction, making it easier to use.

Huawei P30 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max which one is the king?

As far as display is concerned, iPhone 11 Pro Max comes with a 6.5 OLED screen which is called the Super Retina XDR, which offers an impressive visual experience thanks to Apple's optimizations. It occupies 83.7 of the front of the device. iPhone 11 Pro Max has 2688 x 1242 resolution with 458 PPi, we have a screen that offers very clear and sharp images and texts. When you look at the screen, the images are smooth, you cannot notice the pixels with the naked eye.

The elements of the high experience offered by the screen are not limited to resolution only. The OLED screen used by Apple offers realistic and vivid colors thanks to its high black depth and contrast. In this case, you can see the photos you take more realistically and make your arrangements comfortably on your smartphone. On the other hand, the screen has a brightness of up to 800 nits. This makes using iPhone 11 Pro Max more comfortable in all conditions.

Apple says the iPhone 11 Pro Max's screen brightness is automatically adjusted according to the content you're watching. For example, while watching a movie, the screen brightness can reach 1200 nits depending on the scene. In practice, the difference in high screen brightness appears. In a very bright environment, it is possible to see how the screen brightness of the iPhone 11 Pro Max, from which bright light is directed, automatically rises to high levels. Meanwhile, Apple's True Tone technology is also available. In this way, the color temperature of the screen is adjusted automatically according to the light in the environment. We mostly used the iPhone 11 Pro Max in this setting, especially when browsing websites, the difference is seen on white backgrounds, eye comfort is increased.

The high brightness of the screen also offers an advantage on the side of HDR support. iPhone 11 Pro Max's Super Retina XDR OLED display offers Dolby Vision support as well as HDR10. You can see the difference in this support, especially in movies you download from iTunes or some original productions you watch on Netflix. Colors are more vivid, visual elements such as clouds and smoke become a little more pronounced. The aspect ratio of the screen is 19.5: 9. In most Netflix series, we did not prefer full-screen playback, as getting to full screen causes clipping at the top and bottom. The same is true for YouTube videos. However, the situation is a little better for the 21: 9 aspect ratio movies that we download from iTunes or watch from Netflix. Watching movies of that format on the full screen is enjoyable.

One of the elements that distinguished the screens of the iPhone XS and XR models last year was 3D Touch technology. The screen, which detects different pressure levels, could thus perform different functions. With iOS 13, Apple made these functions depending on the software. Therefore, 3D Touch technology was not needed. The experience offered on screens with 3D Touch is again offered. Thanks to the new vibration motor, the movements triggered when you press the screen are accompanied by a vibration that reminds you of the old.

This high performance and visual richness of the screen is accompanied by the sound side. The iPhone 11 Pro Max also has two speakers, one placed on the bottom edge and the other on the handset speaker. Last year, Apple made significant improvements in the sound output of stereo speakers with the iPhone XS Max, making the stereo sound effect offered by the more pronounced. While those improvements are maintained this year, an audio technology that we've heard more and more like Dolby Atmos is supported.

Dolby Atmos makes it possible to feel the environmental sound effect even better, especially in supported movies. Best of all, you don't need any additional accessories to understand the difference of this brace. The speakers of the iPhone 11 Pro Max have this support. This speaker system, which has a very high sound output compared to a smartphone, allows you to feel the direction of the sound comfortably in movies. Moreover, even if you are on the back of the phone, you can easily hear the sound. This will be especially useful when listening to music on your iPhone with your friends. The bass and treble of the sound from the speaker is balanced and satisfying. Note that it does not explode at the highest level.

Now an Apple classic, the iPhone 11 Pro Max does not have a 3.5mm headphone jack. EarPods with Lightning tips come out of the box. Ideally, the iPhone 11 Pro Max would be to purchase a headset that will easily be paired with this phone and work practices, such as AirPods or the new AirPods Pro. However, let's point out that you can easily use your other wireless headphones.

On the flip side, Huawei P30 Pro comes with a 6.47  OLED display long from corner to corner. So it has a bigger screen than the Mate 20 Pro. The screen only loses space for the selfie camera at the top.  with the screen-to-body ratio approaching 90 percent, there is not much blank space on the front except the screen. So much so that Huawei did not put a speakerphone on this phone. The sound of the handset speaker is transmitted from the bottom of the screen to the ear by vibration. Although we feel that the loudness is one level lower than a standard speaker, we can easily say that we do not have any trouble hearing the other party in general. The P30 Pro has a 2340 x 1080 resolution with 398 PPI. and 19.5: 9 aspect ratio.

The brightness of the P30 Pro's OLED display is quite high. This provides a more comfortable use outside. Although the resolution is lower than the value on the screens of flagship devices such as the Mate 20 Pro or Galaxy S10 +, it is not possible to understand the difference after looking at it in detail. Even on phones with most ultra-high resolution screens, the screen resolution is initially set to be Full HD or its derivative. Text and graphics are very sharp and clear.

The black color depth of the screen is also high. This further improves color accuracy. The colors look very vibrant. As a result, even when you look at the photos you take with the P30 Pro directly from the device, you will be sufficiently impressed. In addition, we see that the viewing angles of the screen are quite high, and the colors on the screen do not differ much even when you look from the edge.

The drop notch on the top does not cause much trouble when watching videos or viewing photos as it takes up very little space. However, in applications such as Netflix, we see that this drop is not messed with the notch, but is kept as the beginning of the image area of the finish line. Although the notch is small, Huawei offers users the ability to hide it.

The stereo speaker has become the standard in most flagship phones today. That being the case, it's a bit disappointing to see the P30 Pro come with only one speaker. Fortunately, the speaker on the lower edge offers a very high intensity and quality sound output. At the same time, the bass and treble level is balanced, there is also fullness. As a result, it lets you enjoy the sound when watching videos or want to listen to music with friends, without the need for external speakers. There is no 3.5mm headphone jack. Out of the box comes the USB-C headphones that we've seen before coming with the Mate 20 Pro and P20 Pro. These headphones are of good quality and the sound output is at a satisfactory level. You may not feel the need for another headset.

There is a second microphone on the upper edge. In addition, Huawei continues its belief in the infrared port on this phone as well. You can use the P30 Pro to control devices such as TVs, home theater systems, air conditioners in your home with the help of the Smart Remote application under the Tools folder that comes installed on the phone. On the right side, the volume and power keys are lined up, positioned slightly higher. The keys are not very deep, though there is not much trouble pressing them. However, it would be better if the volume key was kept a little longer

Operating System and Process.

Both phones offer extremely fast and powerful processors. Huawei P30 Pro comes with Kirin 980, and iPhone 11 Pro Max is powered by the brand-new A13 Bionic. Both processors are built using a 7nm process for extreme power efficiency, and they both have a neural engine on board for AI-related tasks.

In the Geekbench test, the P30 Pro scored 3313 for single-core and 9708 for multicores. While the iPhone scored 5423 points for the single-core and 13084 for the multicores.

According to the operating system, Huawei P30 Pro runs on Android 9 with Huawei famous UI, EMUI 9.1. With EMUI 9.1, there is not much visual change compared to EMUI 9, which we saw on the Mate 20 Pro for the first time. However, the feature called Huawei Share OneHop, which provides easy content and information sharing with the latest MateBook X Pro, comes with this user interface. Apart from that, the main features such as the Google Assistant to open immediately when the power button is pressed, the automatic video editing feature called Huawei Vlog, which can be accessed from within the Gallery app, and the GPU Turbo 3.0 comes with EMUI 9.1.

On the other hand, Google's AR Core augmented reality platform is also supported by the Huawei P30 Pro along with EMUI 9.1. It is stated that the phone also includes a measurement application called Huawei AR Measure. However, this application is currently not available in our test product. However, we anticipate that AR Measure will arrive over time, just like the 3D Live Maker app on the Mate 20 Pro.

The software-based features you expect from the 2019 model flagship smartphone are available on the Huawei P30 Pro. We got used to Huawei's default user interface without app drawers, although many do not like it, it is useful to us. If you want, you can return to Android's classic, app drawer look. On the other hand, there are many different theme options for those who want to differentiate the appearance on their phone screen.

While Google's applications such as Gmail, Maps, YouTube come loaded, there are useful tools such as Compass, Recorder, Calculator under the Tools folder. In addition, with the help of the infrared port and the Smart Remote application on the top of the phone, it is possible to turn the Huawei P30 Pro into a remote control. By the way, it is interesting that Huawei has added its own Internet browser to its smartphone for the first time with the P30 Pro. You can see the browser application within applications. There's no big difference in experience with Chrome, but Chrome looks a bit richer in terms of menu options.

As for the iPhone 11 Pro Max runs on iOS 13. With OS 13, significant progress is made in terms of both performance and functionality. While there are various errors at the beginning, Apple is pretty quick to turn them off. We did not see any problems on the software side of the iPhone 11 Pro Max. The experience we used to on iOS 13 devices continues in the same way. Especially during the installation of the device, transferring files from the old iPhone or transferring via iCloud is very practical and provides great convenience.

Dark Mode is one of the features that come with iOS 13 and provides great comfort in the new iPhone. Dark Mode, which you can activate either manually or automatically from sunset to sunrise, will make your eyes more comfortable and save battery. Considering the OLED screen of the iPhone 11 Pro Max, we can say that the dark appearance on the iPhone 11 Pro Max contributed greatly

Security and Ports.

For security, The P30 Pro also has a fingerprint reader built into the screen, just like the Mate 20 Pro. However, the fingerprint reader has been moved slightly lower than on the other phone. In this way, an experience is closer to that of under-screen physical fingerprint readers that people are used to for a long time. While the new location of the fingerprint reader is not very strange, it is also convenient and fast to use. When the screen is off, you can quickly unlock the screen by touching the fingerprint shape that appears on the screen.

On the other hand, the face recognition feature is also available. However, there is no three-dimensional face recognition system like the Mate 20 Pro. This means that the security level of face recognition is lower than that of Mate 20 Pro and it can be deceived more easily. Still, facial recognition is pretty handy for convenience. It works fast and allows you to bypass the lock screen immediately. The P30 Pro also supports the classical unlocking methods such as pattern and passcode.

Whereas, iPhone 11 Pro Max does not come with a fingerprint sensor. It also unlocks using 3D face recognition which has been improved by the years. Apple continues to develop Face ID with 2019 model iPhones. Face screen unlock is a bit faster than before. Now, as soon as you turn on the phone's screen, you will see the lock icon unlocked at the top of the lock screen. It also supports the same classical unlocking methods which the P30 Pro has such as pattern and passcode.

As of ports, the device supports Bluetooth 5 and NFC. It supports VoLTE and WiFi Calling. The device comes with a USB-C port, which helps in quick charing. It doesn't support a 3.5mm headphone jack. Whereas the P30 Pro supports Bluetooth 5 and NFC. It also supports VoLTE and WiFi Calling. It comes with USB-C.

Battery and Charging.

iPhone 11 Pro Max comprises a powerful Li-Ion battery with a capacity of 3969mAh. Huawei P30 Pro provides an even more powerful Li-Polymer 4200mAh battery. This is a core difference. And both phones offer fast charging.

Apple said it made significant strides in battery life when introducing new iPhones. He also specifically said that the iPhone 11 Pro Max offers 5 hours more battery life than the iPhone XS Max. Considering that last year's XS Max model has a 3174 mAh battery, we see that the physical capacity increase will have an effect. Add to that the productivity improvements Apple has brought with the A13 Bionic. As a result, in practice, it becomes possible to see the effects of the iPhone 11 Pro Max's increased battery life.

Let's give an example, start using the iPhone 11 Pro Max with 90 percent battery charge; As a result of an intense use of activities such as photographing, sharing video stories on Instagram, surfing on social media, using Personal Hotspot for about three hours, listening to radio over 3 hours over 4.5G, surfing the internet and reading updates on social networks, After 24 hours, we saw that there was a 75 percent occupancy left.

iPhone 11 Pro Max will make a workday comfortable even for those who use their phone heavily. You can easily take the phone from the charger in the morning and use it until the evening without running out of battery. We estimate that most normal users will need to recharge their phones every 1.5 days. As a result, the battery performance of the iPhone 11 Pro Max will delight most users.

There is also progress in charging. Apple eventually gave up its insistence on a 5W charging adapter, at least for the iPhone 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max. The 18W charger adapter we have seen on iPad Pro for the first time comes out of the box. There is also a USB-C to Lightning cable. In the charging test we carried out, we saw that it was reached from 0 percent to almost 50 percent in half an hour. It took two hours to reach full capacity. Let's also mention that the phone is on during this time. As a result, although it offers a slower charging performance than the 30W charging adapter sold separately by Apple, it offers faster charging than before with the charging adapter that comes out of the box.

iPhone 11 Pro Max also has fast charging support. You can conveniently charge this iPhone with accessories that support Qi wireless charging. Wireless charging is slow on this year's iPhone, as was the case with previous years' iPhones. But if you have a practical solution and enough time, you can charge your smartphone this way.

However, It is possible to charge the phone very quickly with the help of the 40W Huawei SuperCharge fast charging adapter and USB-C cable included in the box. In the tests we carried out, we saw that the occupancy was reached from 0 to 65 percent within half an hour. This means enough power for over a day.

Wireless charging support is also available. Moreover, with 15W, Huawei also offers fast wireless charging. At this point, although it lags behind the Xiaomi Mi 9, which offers 20W wireless charging support, fast charging with 15W is also an improvement that will affect the users' lives in terms of comfort as well as time. Of course, you will need a wireless charging accessory with 15W support to take advantage of this feature.

The wireless reverse charging feature we know with the Huawei Mate 20 Pro is also available in the P30 Pro. With this feature, you can charge smartphones or other accessories that support the Qi wireless charging protocol. Although the charging speed is slow, it is nice to be able to use the smartphone to charge accessories or devices other than the P30 Pro when a power bank accessory or suitable cable is not available.

When it comes to the performance of the high-capacity battery such as 4200 mAh, it offers a battery life that can easily exceed one day or even a second day in normal intensity use. Works such as watching videos and playing games will, of course, reduce the working time, but it would not be wrong to say that this phone will easily take out a working day even with very heavy use.

Huawei P30 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max which one is the king?

 Camera.

iPhone 11 Pro Max goes with a similar 12-megapixel triple-camera on the rear as clarified: 12Mp ( ultrawide with f\2.4),12MP( wide with f\1.8), and 12MP( telephoto with f\2.0). iPhone 11 Pro Max has a 12MP wide front-facing camera with an f\2.2 and SL 3D biometrics sensor. In contrast, Huawei P30 Pro has Quad rear cameras, 40MP( wide with f\1.6), 20MP ( ultrawide with f\2.2), 8MP (  periscope telephoto with f\3.5), and ToF 3D for depth.  The cameras with Leica optics dual-LED dual-tone flash, HDR. On the front, you see a 32MP camera with f\2.0.

The "default" camera - which is in the middle of the optical island - is capable of capturing photos up to 40 MP but is by default set to 10 MP to do pixel binning  and therefore capable of improving technically low light performance.

In broad daylight, the camera defends itself admirably well, even against a Pixel 3. The level of detail is excellent, the contrast also and the sharpness is present. Only small complaint, the white balance could be better controlled, the photo has a very slight tendency to draw towards the blue, which results in a rendering a little less warm than that of the Pixel 3. On the other hand, the P30 Pro benefits from a much better color reproduction. In short, he is one of the very good students with in addition a homogeneous rendering and practically no loss of details at the edges of the image.

However, the iPhone, in broad daylight, the main module progresses slightly. The rendering is more precise and the image processing less destructive for details. In contrast, in our test scene, the image is a bit cooler than before. Apple's smartphone even holds a Samsung Galaxy Note 10 at bay, yet far from bad in the exercise. A great performance. On the other hand, the iPhone 11 Pro suffers from a slight optical defect which causes loss of quality in the corners of the images.

By night too the P30 Pro does an admirable job. The phone manages to ensure an impeccable exposure, to maintain a good level of detail while playing sparingly with the smoothing to erase the grain. Result, we are in front of a very clean image, which competes without too many problems with the Pixel 3 . In very low light conditions, the P30 Pro is able to see better than the human eye and almost "turn on the light" by pushing the ISOs - we measured up to ISO 65,000 when the phone "combines" them. three sensors. It is simply stunning, like the night mode of the Pixel 3

On the other side of the coin, In low light, again, the iPhone 11 Pro shows an improvement over its predecessor. Above all, our test pushes the iPhone to use its new "night" mode. It is intelligently activated automatically when conditions require it. In our scene, the rendering in automatic mode is, therefore, more satisfactory than that of the Galaxy Note 10, which also tends to smooth in the areas.

To put the iPhone 11 Pro's night mode to the test, we went - once is not customary - to the cellar. Our favorite statue is only lit by a small stream of light coming from a skylight. To shoot it, we used the automatic mode offered by the iPhone 11 Pro - which uses its night mode. Apple told us: its night mode will not make people believe that it is daylight. This is indeed the case, but electronic noise is very present and causes a lot of information to be lost.

But it is obviously the "5x zoom" that Huawei puts forward on this P30 Pro - which is not really one in reality since it is a fixed module equivalent to 135 mm in 24x36. By adopting an arrangement of the lenses in periscope. In practice, this optic makes it possible to frame a subject tightly without resorting to digital zoom. A first on a smartphone.

Yes, but ... the zoom is finicky. To achieve a shot like the one we are presenting to you, you not only need to have as much light as possible (the lens opens at f / 3.4), but also to remain very stable - optical and software stabilization helps, but is not enough. . We have more than once found ourselves with motion blur indoors in the middle of the day - it must be said that even under a bright sun, the phone tripped at 1/33 s in some cases. The zoom is therefore good, but the conditions for using it are limited.

We have so far carefully avoided talking about what the sensor gave in low light, because we simply did not manage to capture an image in these conditions! In fact, as soon as there is no light, the phone switches to the main module and performs a 5x digital zoom in order to favor the exposure to the detriment of the details. Suffice to say that the quality is really, but then really not at the rendezvous.

Having said that, now it is time for 2x zoom of the Pro Max.  By day, the iPhone's 2x zoom isn't the best. As often, there is a fairly visible degradation of the image compared to the wide-angle. Electronic noise is more present and loses precision in small details. Opposite, the Galaxy Note 10 manages to produce more detailed images, despite a certain pallor.

In low light, the iPhone 11 Pro loses ground, like almost all of its competitors. The contribution of the aperture to f / 2 (one of the largest on the market for smartphone "zooms") is not obvious.

To conclude this great tour of the sensors, let's take a look at the ultra-wide-angle sensor. The latter can climb up to 20 MP and replicates a 16 mm lens in 24x36. The framing is therefore a little tighter than what we find in the competition, especially Samsung whose lens of the S10 is equivalent to a 13 mm in 24x36.

But on this wide-angle game, the P30 Pro still does better than the Galaxy S10. The textures are better restored, the smoothing less present and the contrast more accentuated. Due to the slightly longer optics, the image is also less distorted. In short, the wide-angle module of the P30 Pro is a success.

Or rather, we sifted through Apple's terminal in our test scene. In broad daylight, the apple brand is very present. Without excelling in the details rendered at a very wide angle, the shots display an excellent level. As almost always with the iPhone, the image processing favors warm tones and natural rendering. The approach of a Galaxy Note 10+ is slightly different in the exercise. Samsung plays more on the accentuation to reinforce the feeling of details. One of the strengths of the super-wide-angle iPhone 11 Pro is that it maintains the right level over much of the image - except in the corners, suffering from barrel distortion. On the edges, the Galaxy Note 10+ gives the feeling of forcing the line, which is not the case with the iPhone 11 Pro.

At night, however, it is something else. Grain, noise and chromatic aberrations settle in so comfortably that you hardly notice much. But in its defense, the competition does not do much better to tell the truth. In these conditions, we oscillate from bad to mediocre, whatever the phone.

On the other hand, in low light, the iPhone 11 Pro fails to maintain this image quality. Like most smartphones, the degradation of the images is obvious. Electronic noise is very present, but Apple decides not to apply excessive smoothing. Again against Samsung's Galaxy Note 10+, the iPhone 11 Pro is not ridiculous. The Korean terminal offers better exposure but at the cost of poorly managed artifacts in the smoothing process. What is interesting is that Apple has chosen a trigger at 1/15 s for 2000 ISO, against 1/8 s and 1250 ISO for the Note 10+. In practice, the iPhone 11 Pro prefers to focus on the sharpness of a subject to the correct exposure of it.

Portrait mode. It is also in this mode that the "time-of-flight" camera of which we spoke above is used. Thanks to this module, the phone is able to measure a large number of depths of field and therefore create a more progressive bokeh than what we are used to seeing on mobile. Rather than a Gaussian blur layer around the subject, the P30 Pro manages to create something that comes close to real camera bokeh - without exactly matching it, let's be clear. This results in elegant photos where the subject is well put forward.

Instead, Apple renews its famous Portrait mode, which cuts out the subject in the foreground and creates a background blur. It remains at present one of the most efficient, even if it still happens to stumble on some mugs. The iPhone 11 Pro also introduces a new mode for portraits called "lighting in high mono values". It produces black and white shots and simulates a white background.

For the selfies, we have the 32 MP front sensor also does a very good job with a nice package of details and a sharp dive. Even in low light the mobile is doing well.

Regarding the Apple devise, the front photo module passes a course with now a 12 MP sensor. What brings a little boost to the level of detail compared to that of the Xs. Too bad the Portrait mode is not as good as with the rear module, however. Apple also introduced its "Sofie" mode, which boils down to the ability to record 120 fps slowed video with the front camera.

In video, the phone has almost no problem, except for a very slight lag when filming in 4K. Note that the P30 Pro also offers many disengagement options, whether in photo or video.

That said, the iPhone 11 Pro climbs to a UHD definition in 60 fps. It is one of the small number of smartphones to deliver very high-quality images in this definition, without sacrificing fluidity or slowing down. The 11 Pro is also equipped with the "audio zoom" which allows you to orient the capture of sound during recording according to the focal length used.

Huawei P30 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max which one is the king?

Conclusion.

It would not be wrong to call the iPhone 11 Pro Max the best iPhone model Apple has to offer right now. The iPhone 11 Pro is pretty much the same, but due to the smaller screen and correspondingly low-capacity battery, it is one step below the 11 Pro Max. However, those who do not like big screen phones such as iPhone 11 Pro Max; For those looking for a more compact yet capable phone, the iPhone 11 Pro will be an accurate and cheaper choice.

Going back to the iPhone 11 Pro Max, although it follows the line of last year in terms of design, the renewed back design and matte surface win our appreciation. We're happy with the space gray color we have, but the night green color looks a bit more appealing. Moreover, it will make it clearer that you are using a new iPhone. We see the quality screen we expect from a flagship iPhone, and even more on the iPhone 11 Pro Max. On this screen, not only watching movies or browsing the web, but doing things in the productivity and creativity class seems quite enjoyable. Of course, the performance offered by the Apple A13 Bionic makes this possible. The sound quality is also at the best level we can see in a smartphone. On the battery side, we see that Apple is making really noticeable progress. The iPhone 11 Pro Max seems not to let even those who use their phone heavily down easily.

As we mentioned in the review, the biggest area where the iPhone 11 Pro Max and its siblings make a difference is the camera. Thanks to the triple rear camera system and new features added accordingly, the iPhone 11 Pro Max is able to compete with professional DSLR machines. The photos we took with the iPhone 11 Pro Max impressed us immensely. We think that the advances on the video side will also contribute to this device is the choice of many video producers.

Of course, all these positive aspects and possibilities we have mentioned have a price and that cost is quite high. You have to have a fairly large budget to own the iPhone 11 Pro Max. If you have no budget concerns, the iPhone 11 Pro Max can easily be at the top of your rubric. However, if you are in a difficult decision phase, taking into account the budget issue, it is best to determine your needs and wishes and decide accordingly. However, if we make a note, it would not be a wrong choice for those who are engaged in creative works such as video or photo shooting, if necessary, to push their budgets and prefer the iPhone 11 Pro or 11 Pro Max.

Conversely, when we look at Huawei's Mate and P series smartphones; we see that Mate leads the way in features such as processor, display, and productivity, and on the camera side, this is left to the P series. The Huawei P30 Pro is also a phone that continues this rule. With its four rear cameras, the Huawei P30 Pro does really impressive work. In an environment where low-light photography is becoming more and more important, Huawei takes this business much further with the P30 Pro. On the other hand, zoom capabilities have also been improved. Thus, it reduces users' need for more advanced machines such as DSLRs. If you are a regular user, when you have the P30 Pro you will also have a capable camera and you will not need any other device to shoot photos or videos in daily life.

Apart from its camera, the Huawei P30 Pro delivers the performance expected of a flagship phone. It's been a few months since the release of the Kirin 980 processor, the Snapdragon 855 is more popular right now. However, the P30 Pro offers a very smooth, smooth and satisfying performance. The fingerprint reader built into the screen works well, facial recognition is fast too. The screen also offers a visual experience befitting a flagship phone. The existence of a single speaker can raise questions in mind. However, we can say that we found the sound output satisfactory. Battery performance will also please P30 Pro owners. It is one of the important pluses that it comes with Android 9 Pie. In short, the P30 Pro is a phone that can easily meet the needs of its owners on the productivity side as well as photography. What do you think? Are these features good enough to give these phones a try? Don't hesitate to share your thoughts with us.
